2024-2025 Cura Personalis Mentoring Program - Application

The Cura Personalis Mentoring program provides students from underrepresented backgrounds an opportunity to build and strengthen relationships with faculty/staff and students across campus. 

*This application will take approx. 15 minutes to complete. We recommend writing your responses in a separate document and copying them into this form in case L@F times out. 


Mentoring enhances confidence, encouragement, psychosocial support, and provides a safe space for diverse perspectives and experiences. The Cura Personalis Mentoring Program is an opportunity for students to be a part of a community of emerging leaders who understand the value of support and collaboration. Mentees will learn valuable skills to succeed in and out of the classroom. Mentors will develop their ability to lead, motivate, and encourage others.

 
Program commitments: (up to 5 Hours Per Month)
  • Commit to the mentoring program for a full academic year (Sept-Apr)
  • Meet with your mentees/mentors at least 2x per month in the Fall 1x per month in the Spring
  • Attend monthly gatherings/workshops
  • Notify Program Coordinator of progress and concerns

 Mentee Qualifications:

  • A current Fairfield University undergraduate student from an underrepresented background

 Mentor Qualifications:

  • A current Fairfield University undergraduate student (2nd Year and above)/graduate student/faculty/staff member
  • Ability to mentor students from diverse backgrounds
  • Knowledgeable about university resources
  • No significant conduct violations (Peer mentors)
  • Maintain at least a 2.5 GPA (Peer mentors)

By submitting this application, you agree that your contact information can be shared with your mentor/mentee pairing. Pairings will be assigned in late August - early September. Dates will also be shared around this time for monthly in-person and virtual gatherings. If you are ever unable to attend these gatherings, please let the program coordinator/program director know or email studentdiversity@fairfield.edu so we can assist further.
